Plenty of good ideas and colourful art, but the action is difficult to follow and I found the core concept (three races where their emotions have been genetically disabled) hard to swallow. Seen as an allegory for how rationalism can lead to some bad outcomes it makes a degree of sense, but there's a lot of stuff that happens in the story that just make more sense if emotions were always in play. Feels like an early draft for something more substantial overall, and it's certainly more enjoyable than the King's miserable Lantern run which is the only other I've read end to end.
