Review of "Ivanhoe, a romantic opera adapted from Sir Walter Scott's novel, etc." on 'Goodreads'
4 stars
When I was a child I loved to watch these old medieval-setting-adventure-movies, that were on television usually on Sunday afternoons (to be honest, I still do). This book catches me in the exactly same way. It has lots of heroism, temple knights, strongholds and beautiful maidens that battles must be fought and tournaments be won for. Also some well known characters from Anglo-Saxon folktales have their guest appearance (guess who a certain "Locksley" might be).
