Two concepts that are going to stick with me from the book. 1. Subsidized Private Opulence and public squalor. I can't help but think of how many private pools in a neighborhood there are, and how efficient a community pool would be. 2. The sheer scale and scope of tax breaks, suggests we could pay to end poverty 50 different ways, we collectively are choose not to, because we individually benefit in ways that creates this collective failure.
