#SanFrancisco declaring itself as a “sanctuary city for #trans people” is such a ridiculous notion to me — how can you say you’re sanctuary when most of the people you say you’d shelter cannot even begin to afford to be _anywhere_ close to here and still live a dignified life?!???!? Saying that to capitalize on fucking Pride month, when Downtown is in the grip of extreme wealth disparity and despair as it is, feels to me like the most vicious dig of all.
