I don't know why I've read two post-apocalyptic novels set from the point-of-view of a crow in the past couple years but they were both amazing so I'm not complaining, just, this is an oddly specific genre. Starts out a little gruesome, but like Station Eleven it's more of an elegy than a horror novel -- oddly hopeful, at times funny, and with some surprisingly deep things to say about cross-cultural identity and the meaning of life and our (humanity's) relationship to the natural world.
