Brian Staveley: The last mortal bond (2016)
"The trilogy that began with The Emperor's Blades and continued in The Providence of Fire reaches its epic conclusion, as …
Summary:
This is the first book in the Fate's Forsaken series. It starts the series well, a classic high fantasy book, which centers around a boy learning his powers.
Although there is slightly less discussion of the boy learning his powers, it is good.
The magic is underdeveloped, but that's ok because it doesn't centre on a mage, but a "whisperer". The lore is slightly cluttered by an abundance of creatures, but there may be enough of a story behind it to explain that.,
Thoughts:
I really like these books. This was a solid start to the series.
