The story rattles along and the tension builds nicely throughout. He writes a good fight scene but I would have preferred more psychological sparring between the main protagonists before they started throwing ship fittings at each other. The book is seriously let down by the depiction of the female characters - they’re only there to be draped round the hero and brutalised by the villain :(
