I'm sorry people but I don't get the fascination with this series. In a nutshell here's what I think. I just finished listening to book 3 not sure I would have gotten through if I was reading it. It's been a while since I read book one.

Book 1 - strange enough with enough twists and turns that it was pretty fascinating reading and it held my attention

Book 2 - loved the beginning when we get to find out more about with Lisbeth is like she is, slow through the middle and exciting ending.

Book 3 - Took WAY to long to get to the point. There were various sections that held my attention but all the detail about the conspiracy and CEPO really seemed to detract from Lisbeth's situation. I get irritated with books that I think could have gotten to the point 100 pages earlier.

All in all it wasn't painful reading but at the end I was not as wowed as I expected for all the fuss people made about these books.
