I have no idea how this ended up on my library holds list (from a list of books or a friend's recommendation? no idea!) so when it popped up as available, I dove in blindly. It's not the type of book I'd normally gravitate toward – it's a thinly veiled romance – were it not for the hook: a quick premonition teases an unlikely future that the protagonist wants to prevent and readers want to understand.

Note: I'm being generous with my stars; it's hard to take a book seriously that repeatedly describes one of its adult characters as doing a seated shimmy.
