Charles Belfoure: The Paris Architect 2 stars

Review of 'The Paris Architect' on 'Goodreads'

2 stars

Pros: Interesting and compelling plot. It had potential.

Cons: 1. Complete objectification of women. There were really only two main women characters in this book, and their primary purpose was to have (unrealistic) sex with the men. 2. Unnecessary over-the-top description of torture. 3. The villain (a Nazi officer who led the torture) was written as pure evil with no redeeming traits, so he felt like a two-dimensional caricature rather than a real person. 4. The main character was hard to like.
