Very cool world. Hard start, great story but not that good ending

The start as everyone said is difficult. Too many characters, too many concepts left to explain, too many things happening... not very interesting (mostly random talk). I almost gave up. Maybe extra hard as I was reading in French. Reading up to 60% and then watching the first movie make me a fan. Suddenly I understood everything and I really enjoyed reading the rest of the book, finally understanding the story and some key concept. The first movie skips some concepts, but helps to understand the story.

Then the ending. It's where everything was coming together, but it happened too quick. Like everything was rushed when it could have been way more.

Overall, I enjoyed it, but it's not an easy read.
