Elder horrors by one of the elders of horror

The highly influential Lovecraft is unmatched when it comes to cosmic horror. The story of "At the Mountains of Madness" is timeless, inspiring and thought provoking - But Lovecrafts writing style is very repetetive and self-referencial. Half the book (or more) is just him repeating himself in slighty diferrent words. Nonetheless, the story itself is so captivating that you forgive it. This is a classic and a must-read for any fan of the genre.
