4.5/5. I was still blown away by this book the 2nd time around. Markus Zusak is the master of capturing the essence of humanity (both good and bad), and the beauty that can be found even in the midst of suffering. I love Zuask's use of Death as the beleaguered narrator, and his characters are so compelling.
