The story revolves around a girl who grows up alone in the marshes of central America. It is a story of resiliency, hope, bravery and most of all survival. It runs in parallel timelines showing the growing years of the "Marsh girl" and a present-day murder mystery.
This book was highly recommended to me by a couple of my friends and I also read that they might be making a movie of the book.
But when I read it, I found it a bit underwhelming. I guess the protagonist, the "Marsh girl", wasn't as charming for me as it was for the others. Also, the murder mystery was a bit predictable.
Overall the book was neither extremely good not bad for me. I would recommend it for one time reading, if you don't have anything else interesting in your Reading list.
