Review of 'Ender Quintet' on 'Goodreads'

4 stars

A fun read. I found the maturity levels of the children to be unbelievable given their ages. But this is set at some point in the future, so I guess it can be assumed that some genetic manipulation would be involved though I don't think this was explicitly stated and the kids are supposed to be the brightest of the brightest, right? So, if one is going to accept the story at all, one can accept that part of it.

Overall, I think it was a story well told and the questions raised are thought provoking. Worth a read, even for adults. Would make a good book club book.

Card's highly publicized controversial personal and political views on homosexuality play no role in the story. I'll also add that I purchased the book used and made no financial contribution to the dissemination of those views.
