Katy Hays: The Cloisters (Paperback, 2022, Atria Books) 3 stars

When Ann Stilwell arrives in New York City, she expects to spend her summer working …

Yeah, kinda crappy... Just a slow slide downwards as it goes plot wise. What pulls you in, the mysterious tarot, the atmosphere, all fall flat by the end and aren't even talked about. Instead it's all stuck up relationships and low grade thefts.

Could have been better, get rid of the ridiculous romantic plot, add more mystery, occult, and murder. Kinda boring, the cloisters is just wallpaper on the snobby relationships of the characters.

Merlin Sheldrake: Entangled Life (Paperback, 2021, Random House Trade Paperbacks) 4 stars

When we think of fungi, we likely think of mushrooms. But mushrooms are only fruiting …

This was a fantastic book! I learned so much about bioremediation and various fungal strains! Then about zombie fungi and their similar effects on the bodies of various creatures! Then there was stuff on brewing, fermentation, and mycoleather! Great book!
