Enjoyed this (sequel to The Peripheral). It’s odd, there is always plot and it is exciting and interesting, but the really sparkly bit of these two books is the way they make characters of the near(ish) future and present. And I guess this is not uncommon in sci-fi, though perhaps not always commonly well-executed, but the way the “science fiction” broaches philosophical questions, ideas, debates without you (me, anyway) being aware until later is pretty magical. Good books.
