I've always tried to follow Zinsser's writing guidelines. This book is a celebration of good writing across many disciplines. Lots of examples of great writing as well as an explanation on the connection between being able to write clearly on a subject forces an author to think deeply about the subject. Great book.
I wish this book existed when I was in my 20s. It may have changed the trajectory of my career and certainly may have changed the way I approach work. Still even as I’m in the latter part of my career I believe I’ll take some lessons away from this book to change some unhealthy patterns in my professional life.
