@suddzzjr well, yes. I don't think it's a good book for enjoying. But it's a very good book for not enjoying.

@mttktz I get it, but my biggest beef is that nothing really happens in the second half. It's all just reiterating the same hopeless, droll beats. So to have a dark, weighty first half who's pay-off is wallowing in the mire for another 150 pages....
