2015: I read Kurzweil's Singularity is Near. It's tech religion and I'm fascinated. I write a series about a post-Singularity time, people ascending while Legacy Humans are left behind. I explore creativity, spirituality, and what haunts us when we cede part of ourselves to the machines.

2016 - 2023: {shit happens}

2024: Kurzweil releases Singularity is Nearer, saying wordcels (writers like me) can't understand the brilliance of shape rotators (like him). We're so close to AI-nirvana!

Me: I'm shape rotator & wordcel & it's not the wordcels who "don't get it." JFC man, how can you still spout this stuff?

"“computers will be able to simulate human brains in all the ways we might care about” only serves to reveal which parts of the brain Kurzweil himself does not care about."
