Hmm….. a lot of thoughts on this one. Overarching, I was entertained, but I am left disappointed and kind of mad, lol. There were some really unexpected and highly upsetting moments that I did not expect and made me genuinely sick. My bad for not checking the trigger warnings I guess, so I’d definitely recommend doing that before reading.
Maaaaaany pointless subplots and side characters that in the moment felt important, but in the end were completely irrelevant to the actual story, but could have been. While the book was engaging throughout, the ending was rushed and felt like a huge let down. In addition, so many unanswered questions here, and in my opinion, lots of unfinished business.
If I had to describe this book in 3 worlds, I would say sloppy, disturbing, and shocking.
I would not recommend this one, but I don’t regret reading it.
