Review of 'The Science of Personal Achievement' on 'Goodreads'

4 stars

Hearing many of Hill's old speeches in this audiobook, where he seemed to be going off the cuff quite often, seemed to show what he valued most in personal development. Selective mentoring was hugely important to him, as were mastermind groups and connecting with others. His stories about Carnegie and Edison were cool to hear. Much of it is what you'd expect if you're familiar with Hill or the genre: controlled attention, clear goals with relentless pursuit, affirmations, optimism, enthusiasm, etc.
