An honest look at entrepreneurship from the scammiest title possible. The tone varies between heartless and heartfelt, keeping its promise to the reader that it’s going to describe the cold world of business decision-making, and the hard work required. The heartfelt bits come from the author’s own or others poetry woven in, and his pleas for you to go do something better with your life besides focusing entirely on money like he did.

It’s bizarre and refreshing, partly because of that dichotomy and partly because of when the book was written (2006). This came out between the dot-com crash and the start-up boom, which makes it feel both nostalgic and still applicable. The audiobook’s narrator was top notch.
