Review of 'How the Stock Market Works' on 'Goodreads'

3 stars

Explains it all well. The first seven lectures are what you’d think: don’t try to beat the market and diversify. Buy and sell orders, IPOs, valuation, and browsing financial statements were nice overviews, even if I’ll never use the info. The chapters on transaction costs, taxes, and tax shelters were great. The professor covers common investing strategies equally and provides reasons you might choose them.

148 pages of lecture notes with pictures, graphs, and detailed outlines.
