I read speculative fiction and non-fiction. I am particularly interested in prefigurative practices (collective governance; transformative justice; solidarity economies; intentional collaborations), disabled, queer, and first nations perspectives, and historical, philosophical, and social studies of diverse epistemological practices.

reviewed Living Democracy by Tim Hollo

Tim Hollo: Living Democracy (2022, NewSouth Publishing, NewSouth)

The next best time to start is now

This was such an enjoyable read. It offers an easy-reading overview of a wide range of historical and current approaches to prefiguring better futures through collective governance practices positioned in the context of the increasing need for resistance to authoritarian regimes. Hopeful and pragmatic at the same time.

I read a paper copy, but for those who prefer audio formats, check out the free audio version read by Tim Hollo
