Arabella is a new favorite among Heyer heroines with her commitment to justice and her total lack of pretension. This book is top tier Heyer because of her. The leading man is, as is usual with Heyer, far less amazing than the heroine, though he is elevated quite a bit once Ulysses comes along and gets points for just adoring the heck out of Arabella. The book has the typical (wonderful) Heyer dialogue and vivid supporting characters. The only downside is that quite a lot of the wordcount is committed to watching a silly young man fall into debt, which is not what I was reading this book for, so I admit that I skimmed over most of that. But on the whole: delightful.
