I think Colfer did a great job of taking the mantle of Douglas Adams' work, keeping much the same humor of the original, increasingly inaccurate trilogy whilst adapting it to his own writing style.
It has been decades since I last read a Hitchhiker's book, so reading this was a little rusty, but there were still plenty of recognizable references and throwbacks to earlier events and settings.
Overall, quite enjoyable and recommended to fans of the original series.
