Review of 'Darth Bane : Star Wars Legends 3-Book Bundle' on 'Goodreads'

5 stars

The Sith will never give up their plans!
As we already know, the Sith order and it's members are ruthless when it comes to their favorite game, exterminating their mortal enemy, the Jedi Order. Is there anything that they wouldn't do in order to achieve it? No. There isn't. Darth bane is the culmination of the sith Lords. He is, as you'll come to discover, the one who'll bring forth the Rule of two. "One master and one apprentice, one to embody the power of the Dark Side, the other, to crave it."
This is the basic tenent of the Rule of two.
In the first instalment of the series, Path of destruction, Darth Bane has to topple the previous Sith Regime, Skere Kaan's Brotherhood of Darkness. Thuss, ending the new Sith wars, and making the jedi think that their victory is assured, untill, you guessed it! The coming of Darth Sidious!
The second book deals with Bane's chosen apprentice, Darth Zanah, and their consolidation of power.
As the Rule of Two is brought into effect, the Sith have to gather power by striking from the shadows, not through direct (combat related means) direct means, untill they'll be ready to take down the republic.
This is a thrilling series if you're a fan of the Sith in general, and if you happen to be curious of their Modus operandi.
I confess that dynasty of Evil prooved a bit dragged out at times, but it pays off quickly with the ending.
Every book of this trilogy has at least one climactic battle, at least one if not more, lightsaber duels that will leave you staggering and holding your breath for more.
