A Warcraft novel but this one is written by human people and has characters with personalities and stuff

This is a novelization of the Warcraft 2 Expansion Pack. Again, expectations are not too high given the previous sentence, but this was written in 2008. WoW was really blowing up at this point, and it's clear that the authors took some care with their work. Everything makes sense within the WoW universe. Yes, there are many Events that happen, but the authors wisely balance out Events with actual characters, their feelings, and their relationships. It helps these characters feel real rather than just units you tell to go fight something.
