Zivan reviewed Stiletto by Daniel O'Malley (The Rook Files, #2)
Review of 'Stiletto' on 'Goodreads'
3 stars
The Checquy Files feel like a discount version of The Laundry Files.
They are a fun light read, though sometimes the humor is too forced. The gag is the top priority and trumps reasonable behavior.
Stiletto also felt too long, but I must admit many of the side plots do pay off eventually.
An added bonus is that despite being a middle book in a trilogy, it has a clear ending.
