A Close and Common Orbit was easier to enjoy than A Long Way to a Small Angry Planet.
Instead of the mismatch between the looming interplanetary crisis and the lives of the crew the story was really about in Long Way, we get smaller stakes that truly effect the lives of the characters we care about in Common Orbit.
