Valente's prose is poetry.

The early chapters are a sheer delight and though things slow down later on, the language was still spellbinding.

I connected more with the Galactic Eurovision concept of [b:Space Opera|24100285|Space Opera|Catherynne M. Valente|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1518017807l/24100285.SY75.jpg|59979691], but was glad to discover it's Golden Age of Hollywood predecessor.

This Novel should be heard, Heath Miller's Narration is fantastic.
