This is not what I'm used to with Reynolds.

The cynicism the danger the suspense are all missing.

I usually can't listen to Reynolds books while going to sleep.

Blue Remembered Earth kept lulling me to sleep.

with Reynolds it's usually difficult to follow all the intricacies of the plot and I can't allow myself to miss one sentence.

With Blue Remembered Earth I didn't care if I fell a sleep for a time. Whatever I missed would be repeated later on.

There was a section somewhere at the mid point of the book where things pick up and I didn't want to put my headphones down. But towards the end, even the big reveal was just one long yawn.
