Despite all it's flaws I loved the conclusion of the Land Fit for Heroes trilogy.
By this time Gils anger has grown to powerful, it is no longer a means to and end but the end itself.
The gods seem to be standing in line to tell Gill what's going on. Instead of him finding things out he and thus we are told more and more about the world. On one hand this isn't very good writing on the other hand everyone has an agenda and the info dumping is also a means by which Gil is manipulated.
This is perhaps unavoidable as people at Gills level of tech can barely fathom what they're being told let alone being able to figure such things out on their own.
Archeth, with her more advanced knowledge does get to figure out some things on her own.
But in the end Morgan's descriptive writing is wonderful and his take on Fantasy in this trilogy is profound.
Highly recommended.
