A strange thing happened to me with Storm of Swords.

I wanted to continue reading from the approximate point where season 3 of the TV show stopped.
As usual I opted for the audio book.

However the narration was so bad I just couldn't stand it.
Perhaps it is because I got used to the way the characters are portrayed in the TV show.
But I just couldn't stomach the horrible accents that made practically everyone sound like an idiot.

I ended up switching to an E-Book and letting Voiceover read it to me on the iPhone with it's electronic voice.
It is a rare event when I chose the monotone of a voice synthesizer over a human narrator.

Switching from the TV show to the books was much smoother than I expected and I'm enjoying the book as much as I enjoyed the Series.
