Review of 'Automated Alice' on 'Goodreads'

(On reread) This is a fun homage to Lewis Carroll, but not as fun as I remembered - Noon's trademark wordplay is present, and entertaining, but also muted. Still, obviously worth a read if you're a Noon fan or someone who enjoys experiments in English.

None

This was weird and interesting. With pictures and conversations, as Alice might have said. The animal/people are partly Carrollesque and partly from Vurt and Pollen (and in one picture there are two who have come straight from Bosch’s Garden of Earthly Delights). Talking of Vurt, ‘vurt’ (maybe ‘vert’ from ‘vertical’) is an inline skater’s word for fancy acrobatics.
