Review of 'Lives of the Monster Dogs' on 'Goodreads'

I made it halfway through this one before giving up unfortunately! It started out really strong - the concept is weird and engaging. I like the writing style a lot.

But as the book progressed, the present day story lost me more and more. I enjoyed Ludwig’s papers much more than Cleo’s story, which was quite dull. Cleo and Ludwig in the present day had very repetitive interactions. I was very tired of it by the halfway point.

It’s unfortunate the author hasn’t written anything else, because I’d have tried it!
