OH MY GOD. I'm screaming. SCREAMING. That ending!!!
After a really lackluster 3rd volume, I had hesitated to pick up the fourth volume, but found it on my library's Hoopla service, so downloaded it. If it weren't for a few minor plot points in the last volume that come into play here, I would advise readers to skip right from volume 2 to 4 because everything that was bad about the third volume was absent here.
There was plot development. SO MUCH plot development. It was at a breakneck pace, like Gillen was trying to make up for the lack of plot development in the last volume.
And McKelvie and Wilson are back as the artists! Hooray! Please please please never leave again. Because their art is stunning, and having the same artists from issue to issue is really freaking important (see last volume where that wasn't the case).

But back to the story. Things come to a head in this one and we finally get (some glimmer of) answers to what the hell is going on. But in typical TW+TD fashion, we don't get full answers so we're left with another cliffhanger ending and I'm eagerly waiting for Volume 5 now. I can't read these in trades; I need a big chunk all at once.
