This held up surprisingly well from when I last read it in high school. A simple framing device to connect several short stories that sometimes ended a little too pat for my tastes (Dr. Calvin taking on the role Poirot at the end of each story).
Another part that doesn’t hold up so well is humanity just kind of taking robots for granted as slaves and trying to ensure they don’t break free of our control. I guess we had to wait until a couple decades later to think those consequences through in our American Sci-Fi.
But ultimately, a great thought exercise from Asimov to run his Laws of Robotics through various and more complex scenarios and I definitely enjoyed re-reading this more than Foundation.
