Eli reviewed How to Stop Time by Matt Haig
None
3 stars
A book about a curious collective of people plagued or blessed by an extraordinarily long life span. That causes many problems such as dealing with loss, finding meaning in life over hundreds of years, and evading death during witch-hunting days.
There is a society looking after such people and ensuring the condition is never exposed to lay people.
The main character struggles with ethics as he tries to recruit more familiars all the while wanting to find his daughter.
It was a sweet book but it felt quite slow at times and few 'aha!' points in it.
