Not bad... it simply tries too hard

3 stars

This novel tries to be funny, witty, mysterious, exciting, and engaging. It almost succeeds (in most of those). The humor generally falls flat, the excitement (isn't) and the characters are not truly relatable. This is a fine read, if you don't have something better. I'll be moving on to other authors, myself.
