As much as I love her comedic work, Abby Howard's mastery of horror in particular can't be denied. Her trademark black-and-white crosshatched style lends even the most mundane scenes as strong a sense of ominous tension as any movie can offer, and when she's finally ready to show off the grotesquerie the images will sear themselves into your brain.
