Caffeinated Book Dragon reviewed Gulliver's Travels by Jonathan Swift
Not giving a star review b/c didn't finish, so wouldn't be fair.
I couldn't finish it. Got halfway through and was so bored by what I was reading I ended up skimming for better material to read. So, I won't give this a star rating.
Now, there were little tidbits that came to light that I found funny, but other than that there was so much description and so little dialogue I just couldn't keep interest. I don't think Dialogue is Story exactly, but I definitely don't think Description is Story either. I just needed a mix more than anything. Some moments I'd heard about before, and I have to admit, when the footnotes were more interesting for what they were (and weren't) saying, then it was time to put the book down and read a history book instead because I wasn't going to pay much attention anymore.
