WHEREAS: Poems

I originally came across 38 and some of the Whereas statements in an anthology, which lead me to this collection. The latter half is certainly the heart of this binding, but there are some real gems in the stand-alone poems(which are really part of a greater whole, so 'stand alone' is probably a poor way to refer to them), dealing with similar themes and also more discrete experiences like motherhood, childbirth, and loss.

Strong recommendation.

Interesting both topically and in her obvious love of playing with words, as words, and their meanings.
