Cute little escapist romance
Many smiles, some sweet sexual tension, and the good gals win. Perfect for the time of pandemic, really. Short and soothing and enjoyable.
This is a delightful, short and sweet novella about a romance between a lady's maid with a checkered past and a disowned preacher's daughter. It's a little slow to start and in the beginning, full of details that might make more sense if I'd read the other books in the series, but after I got past that I quite enjoyed it. Even with only 100 pages of story, the characters have well-fleshed-out backstories and motivations, and I loved the revenge plot. Plus, I am always on board for characters realizing their worth and standing up for themselves (and finding love in the process). Definitely worth checking out if you're looking for a short f/f Regency romance.
