Gatefather

This is easily one of the worst books I've ever read. To call it slow would be too generous. More accurstely, it's intentionally plodding. It genuinely feels like OSC got bored with this story and just sorta threw a book 3 together because he was under contract.

This book is roughly 85% dialogue, and of that dialogur, 75% is truly painful to read.

This is a huge waste of time. Book 1 was a fun read. Book 2 got kinda bad. Book 3 was just a nightmare. It's like OSC was trolling is here. You keep thinking the next chapter will be better, but it never is.

Don't read this book.

I'm at a loss. I really really liked 20% of the book. The rest I kept having to remind myself to stop speed reading. It vacillated from well thought out concepts to juvenile banal moments that seemed displaced and sometimes out of context.

Then the story wrap occurs because of characters that are given knowledge for no other real reason than plot movement.

I felt frustrated because I was eagerly awaiting this book.

Lots of great ideas, the execution was really slipshod.
