I had a lot of fun reading this (disclosure: I was a teen girl in the 1980s so that's part of it). It's easy to read with a ridiculous plot that is also about feminist and anti-racist issues.
DNF. I was so excited about this book and waited for it forever on the library queue, and then – once I started listening, I just could not get into it. I tried repeatedly. The premise sounds fun. It has a bit of a feminist bent to it. The writing is fluid and flows. And yet, it just never clicked for me.
I'm not rating it. Maybe I'll revisit it again in the future and see if it hooks me. In the meantime, I made it only about 20% into it before abandoning.
