Though this will probably upset many friends of mine, I found this book to be less than amazing. The tone and pacing made the entire thing seem like the first chapter of a book. I was introduced cursorily to many characters and dynamics, but then the story would simply move on, not developing any of them. I got to the end thinking, "All right! Now I have all the backstory to really get this! Wait a minute..."
