Review of 'Incidents in the Life of a Slave Girl' on 'Goodreads'

A shuddering tale of a woman being raised as a slave and the long journey to freedom. This book provides great insight into the times of slavery and the firm grasp on the patriarchy. I give it five stars because of the vivid depiction and descriptions of the life of slaves, it shook me to my core.
