Great book, but getting a bit heavy

I really enjoyed the first book in this series, and this one is also really well written, and mostly quite fun, with the only problem that it's starting to get a bit heavy for me, I'm wondering if the really "No chance" thing is going to be a big thing forward, while I really enjoy the a bit more lighter part of the stories, this is starting to feel a bit too heavy for my liking, maybe I need to let it wait for a bit before I go on with the next one, and read some a bit more positive books inbetween.

Review of 'Lines of Departure' on 'Goodreads'

Kloos paints a pretty grim picture of the future. Humans fighting other humans despite There being a whole other species of invaders to fight against. This is a fast paced book, and the writing is fun and exciting. There's a lot of military lingo I don't quite get, but it didn't distract to much.
The cliffhanger at the end is totally, completely and utterly evil! Please hurry up and finish the next book in this series! :)
